Kim Kardashian Armenian Roots
KUWTK Reality TV stars Kim, Khloe, Rob Jr. and Kourtney are the daughters of Robert George Kardashian whose parents and grandparents are decedents of Armenia.
While visiting Kim and Khloe received a piece of land from a plot in a housing subdivision outside the capital Yerevan with a certificate granting their families a chance to see their heritage and learn about my ancestors. All of it is being filmed for a future episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians season.
Interestingly the Kardashians have fans globally who follow them through their life experiences as well as buying the many products under the brand from clothes, to makeup and shoes.
This trip to Armenia may be a way for the family to reconnect with long lost relatives and also an opportunity to build more Dash stores or promote the Keeping Up with the Kardashians television show.
The cool thing is that Kim's daughter North West will be part of this Armenian sub-branch of the Indo-European family which will be passed on for generations to come.
Khloe also signed the certificate for the plot of land by adding her married name Odom, which has many media outlets talking about Lamar and Khloe getting back together.

The Burning Tigris: The Armenian Genocide and America's Response
The Kardashians made an appearance in preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide which will be commemorated on April 24, 2015. "Armenia has launched a global genealogical project called hush.am (meaning memory) to allow Armenians all over the world to find each other through searching for the ancestors' memorials and cemetery records." Every year on April 24 Armenians around the world commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide. April 24 of 1915 is the day when thousands of the Armenian community leaders of Constantinople (now Istanbul) were deported and mostly executed. Armenian Golgotha is Balakian’s devastating eyewitness account—a haunting reminder of the first modern genocide and a controversial historical document that is destined to become a classic of survivor literature. The largest Armenian populations today exist in Russia, the United States, France, Georgia, Iran, Lebanon, and Syria. With the exceptions of Iran and the former Soviet states, the present-day Armenian diaspora was formed mainly as a result of the Armenian Genocide. |
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian arrive in Israel
Kim Kardashian’s daughter will be baptized and she will become a Christian officially and a member of the Armenian church. Jerusalem located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Israelis and Palestinians both claim Jerusalem as their capital, as Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions there and the State of Palestine ultimately foresees it as its seat of power; however, neither claim is widely recognized internationally. The couple and their nearly 2-year-old daughter, North West, as well as Kardashian’s sister Khloe, landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Monday following a roots visit to Armenia. Photos of their arrival were featured on Israeli news websites and on news programs. Reality TV stars Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are in talks to jointly purchase two apartments — reportedly costing a total of $30 million — inside an exclusive beachfront Tel Aviv building, 96 Hayarkon. |
